Zürcher Geschnetzeltes

This is a traditional dish of the city of Zurich and not trying it would be a shame..I made it for lunch today so I decided to write a recipe I hope you like it….

Preparation steps

  • Divide the meat into two portions and fry each one separately in butter. Place in another bowl and set aside.
  • Add the rest of the butter to the pan in which the meat was fried and fry the finely chopped onion on it.
  • Cut the champignons into smaller slices, then add the onion and fry them together for 5 minutes.
  • Now add the meat, sprinkle with flour, mix, then add wine and soup, add salt, stir and let it cook gently for 15-20 minutes.
  • Finally, add the cream, adjust the taste and cook for another 2-3 minutes. The juice should be of medium density, neither too thick nor too thin.

This dish is usually served in restaurants with: rösti and today I served it with: specle
