Yuvarlak börek / zarolani burek

Fine rolled Turkish burek made of meat and peas. Juicy and tasty. Enjoy !!! This burek can withstand a little more bitterness, so if you like it, feel a little more angry. Be sure to serve with lightly spiced Greek yogurt which you just mix with a little salt and a tablespoon of olive oil.

Preparation steps

  • Chop the onion and sauté it in a pan with oil in a pan until wilted, when the onion is done add the chopped garlic and peas, continue to simmer over low heat until the peas dissolve. Transfer to a bowl to cool the filling a bit and add the meat, mix everything together, add all the spices and continue to mix until everything is combined into a fine mixture. You can try the mixture by toasting the piece in a dry pan if you are satisfied if you don’t have time it won’t bother you much. Prepare the coating by placing everything in a bowl and making with a whisk with a grain of salt.
  • Divide the noodles into two parts. For each loaf, three noodles are enough for you. on a baking sheet on which you have previously placed baking paper.Repeat the process with the rest of the noodles and stuffing.
  • Coat the loaves with the rest of the coating and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C / 20 min or until they get a nice color. Serve with yogurt sauce as an appetizer, main course with tea or some light dinner.
