Yellow cake from the 17th century

This is the right time to make this cake. You probably have some more boiled eggs left from Easter. The cake is very fine because the ingredients from which it is made are also fine. It is a recipe from the cookbook "How I ate myself" by Voki Kostić

Preparation steps

  • Whisk the butter well with 6 hard-boiled, mashed egg yolks
  • Add 4 eggs, 4 egg yolks and powdered sugar. Finally add the almonds
  • Stir for a very long time until the mass becomes flea
  • Pour the mass into an oblong mold and bake over a moderate heat (for me it is 175 C for about 1 hour)
  • When cool, shake out of the mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar

Serving

It is important for this cake that the butter is fresh and of good quality
