Winter Rum-Punch
After puuuuno chemistry with the ratios of ingredients, I finally came up with a satisfactory combination! And how it fits while the snow is outside and the temperature is below zero, and inside under the blanket it is nice and warm ... Enjoy !!!
Preparation steps
- Make tea according to the instructions on the bag. Can black or fruit tea. My favorite is Twining’s black Four Red Fruits Tea which would be black fruit tea :)
- Halve one orange and cut 4 thin orange rings (approx. 5 mm thick) from it, which should be cut in half. Squeeze the rest of that orange, another orange and half a lemon.
- In a bowl, mix brewed tea, wine, squeezed lemon and orange juice, sliced orange slices, cloves, star anise, half a vanilla bean cut lengthwise and cinnamon peel previously broken into two parts (gives a better aroma). Put to boil, but be careful not to boil.
- When warm enough, remove from heat. Put sugar in a spoon or a spoon, soak it in rum and set it on fire. While burning lightly pour into the punch.
- Stir everything well, leave covered for a few minutes before serving. Put two halves of orange rings in each cup, pour over the hot punch and serve.
Serving
When choosing a wine, I recommend a slightly sweeter fruit wine such as merlot, shiraz, etc. In addition to orange and lemon, you can also add lime, which gives it a very nice taste.
