Whey bread

A cake that takes me back to my childhood, when there was enough butter to spread on a large piece of bread and salt it, and it runs out into the game all day.

Preparation steps

  • In the absence of time, this cake is perfect. First, turn on the oven to 210 degrees. Oil a 30 cm diameter pan.
  • Put flour, salt and baking powder in a larger bowl. Mix these dry ingredients by hand. Slowly add the whey and cook a little softer dough. Flour the work surface and shake the dough. Transfer the dough prepared in this way to the baking tray.
  • For all this, we would not need more than ten minutes. Put the bread in the oven, which has already warmed up, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • When the cake is finely browned, take it out of the oven and spread it with butter, cover it with foil and a cloth. It doesn't take five minutes for it to soften nicely. You will be surprised by the airiness of the dough, the smell and taste of this cake.

Serving

Serve it with whatever you want. For me, it went with a nice thick soup of dried legumes and cereals with pieces of chicken. Pleasant!
