Visnjevaca underground

I know that there are quite a few recipes for this liqueur, but here is my contribution to the topic of the week ... :)

Preparation steps

  • Peel the cherries (it's best if you have a device for that, but I haven't been able to find it yet). Beat half the cereal and add to the cherries.
  • Pour the sugar into a pickling bowl and add the cherries and pits. Add vanilla and finally pour over grapefruit or vodka.
  • Leave in the sun or room temperature for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, strain the liqueur through gauze, so that parts of the bones do not go into the liqueur. Save the cherries for the cakes.
  • Boil a deciliter of distilled water with 100 grams of sugar and cool. Add to liqueur and leave for 2-4 months to mature.
  • Enjoy the super fragrant and thick cherry liqueur.
