Verdens beste kake - The best in the world
This cake deserves its name. He wins at first. I tried it when visiting family in Norway and fell in love with it. It can’t be compared to anything known, it’s simply the best!
Preparation steps
- Yellow dough Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until foamy. Lightly add oil, then milk. Finally, mix the flour sifted with baking powder. Pour into a pan covered with greaseproof paper, which should be well coated with oil and sprinkled with flour. It is difficult to smear. Dimensions of the pan approx. 32X40.
- White dough Beat solid egg whites. Gradually add sugar. Spread over yellow dough. Sprinkle with chopped almonds. Dry in the oven at 175 C for an hour (depending on the power of the oven maybe shorter) until the cake separates from the edges. Allow to cool well. I usually bake it the day before.
- Heat 2/3 of the milk cream over low heat until it boils. Egg yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar mix. Add flour and remaining milk. Pour in boiling milk. Stir over low heat for 5-10 minutes to the desired density. Cool down. In the chilled add the margarine.
- Whipped cream Beat the sweet cream with sugar and whipped cream.
- Stacking order Cut the dough in half (to get two halves 16 cm wide). It's hard to take out, be careful. Spread the cream on half of the dough. Over the cream sweet cream and cover with the other half of the dough. Serve after 2 h. In delight!
