Vegan Danube Waves

Danube waves - cake made of cherries, cocoa, chocolate prepared in a vegan way. The recipe was provided by the Animal Friends Association. Thanks to Maja Sokolean for the beautiful photo.

Preparation steps

  • Biscuit: 1. Mix flour with baking powder and add sugar and grated margarine.2. Add milk and mix everything.3. Divide the mixture into two parts.4. Put cocoa in the first part and stir.5. Coat the baking sheet with margarine and lightly sprinkle with flour and pour in the light part of the biscuit.6. Place the cherries (not too thick) on the biscuit and pour over the dark biscuit.7. Level the surface.8. Place in a preheated oven at 200 ° C and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Cream: 1. Put 600 ml of milk and sugar in a pot and wait until it boils. 2. In a separate bowl, mix the pudding with the rest of the milk and add to the hot milk. Stir until thickened.3. Remove everything from the heat and allow to cool.4. Mix the margarine, stir in a tablespoon by tablespoon of the chilled pudding and pour over the biscuit.
  • Glaze: 1. Melt the chocolate.2. Stir in the oil until a smooth texture is obtained. 3. When the cake has cooled, decorate it with chocolate glaze.
