Not every piston is a Varaždin clip!
Preparation steps
- Put the yeast to rise together with fresh milk, a little flour and sugar.
- Sift the flour, add salt, oil and leavened yeast and knead a soft dough with the milk.
- The dough must be kneaded very long and well to be light, and then put to rise. When it is lifted, we make 25 pieces out of it, which we arrange in buns and put them up again.
- Each bun is rolled out to be approximately 20 cm long. Start wrapping the dough from the bottom up and along the way stretch it to the length so that the pistons are 25 cm long.
- Arrange them on a baking sheet and place to rise again.
- Coat them with egg yolk and sprinkle with cumin.
- Bake at 220 ° C for 10 to 12 minutes.

Mix Varaždin pistons exclusively by hand, not with an electric mixer.
