Preparation steps

  • Preheat the oven to 175C.
  • Whisk the butter with crystal sugar and vanilla sugar with an electric mixer. Add oil, stir again.
  • Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the butter mixture by mixing with a spatula, do not mix. Add ouzo, stir, add walnuts.
  • If necessary, gently form a ball with your hands. The less you knead the dough, the better.
  • On rosette paper, form rosettes, wreaths or figures as desired, bake for 10-15 minutes. at 175 C, make sure they stay bright.
  • Cool, roll profusely and sprinkle the powder with vanilla-scented sugar.
  • Store in a well-sealed box, with plenty of powdered sugar on the bottom, between and above the pigeons.
