Unleavened whole grain bread

A variant of the famous "tonus" of bread, without yeast.

Preparation steps

  • Soak the wheat in water. Leave it for three days, and change the water every day, so that it does not spoil. After three days, grind the wheat in a chopper / blender / machine. I used a chopper and in that case you need to be patient and open the chopper a few times and stir, to pick up everything from the edges and to make sure it is well ground. If some grains remain whole, they will be hard when the heb is baked. A dough-like mass should be obtained.
  • The flakes can be soaked in water a few hours earlier or the day before, to soften them. If water remains, drain them, but they will absorb most of the water. Add them to the ground wheat.
  • Add shifts and with.
  • Mix well and knead all the ingredients.
  • Line a baking sheet / baking tray with parchment paper and pour the mixture onto paper.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Serving

This bread looks more like a very tasty pastry than a classic bread. That's why he doesn't need anything besides cheese or sour milk! :)
