Uber pie

This is my New Year’s, exaggerated pie. It can be with cheese, cabbage, potatoes, meat, vegetables ... it's just important that you EXCESS with everything you put in it !! : D It is special in the way of "star packaging", which makes it beautiful to display in front of guests. Uber !! Dedicated to 2017.

Preparation steps

  • In a larger container el. whisk all the ingredients for the filling with a mixer. If you add greens, blanch it in slightly salted water, drain well and chop, then add to the filling. (Optionally, baking powder is added to the salt, as these are the only dry ingredients.)
  • Make the pie topping by melting all the ingredients together over a low heat and mixing until the water is completely combined with the fat.
  • To stack this pie we need a round tray. Place the first two crusts in the tray so that their edges do not overlap, but make a "star" shape, leaving the crusts hanging over the tray.
  • We then spread the crust with the topping - both the sides that are in the tin and the bottom, but we do not touch the part of the crust that is outside the tin. Put three tablespoons of cheese filling and spread on the crust. Over this we put torn and crumpled two crusts which we “trample” by pouring the dressing over them.
  • We spread the cheese filling over these crusts again and cover it with one crust, taking care that the tops of the crust pass by the previously placed one. We repeat the procedure by pouring the pie every time we chop and crumple the crust, so that it "settles" and so that it can be filled. When all the filling is used up, we should have at least a couple of spoons of topping left. We finish by folding the edges that were on the outside over the filling after the last filling and pouring the topping over everything once again. It's perfectly fine if he asks you to "swim" a little in the topping - the crust will drink it all soon.
  • You can either bake this "packaged" pie immediately (approx. 40 minutes at 180-200 degrees C, with a fan) or protect it with a transparent foil and leave it in the fridge to spend the night the next day. (You can also freeze this pie, but only after spending the night in the fridge, to absorb the entire topping. In that case, you would also cover the tray with transparent foil before stacking the pie, so you can take it out to freeze after it has "aged" in the fridge). )
  • NOT OBLIGATORY If you, like me, have an extra filling and one crust left - because I overdid it more than usual !! - You can further beautify the pie by cutting a circle the size of a baking tray from the remaining crust and coating the pie with the remaining filling, then "glue" the circle from the crust over it. You will definitely pour the dressing over it and eventually sprinkle with sesame seeds. This way it will be decorative and perfect for a proud "presentation" on the table.
  • TIP MORE Listen to your oven - if after the suggested baking time you see that your pie is still too soft, continue baking until you are satisfied. Sometimes it takes over an hour to bake the pie nicely, depending on the strength of the oven.
  • The pie is usually ready in about 30 minutes, if it wasn't too full and too high for you, like me - because that's exactly the point of "Uber pie". But we make it from everything we have on hand, in the fridge that day. This time it was baked for 50 minutes and cooled in an open oven for another half an hour.

Serving

Allow enough time for the pie in the pan to cool and harden so that it can be cut neatly. You will see, you will be delighted with both the taste and the look! Still you put in it everything that could be put !!
