Twix biscuits
Simple and irresistible ..... for fans of twix and caramel
Preparation steps
- Mix the softened butter and sugar until finely combined, add salt and slowly add the flour. Mix or stir until you get a fine mass that doesn’t stick to your hands. I made them twice with half half flour but it was not from the same manufacturer, the first time great and the second time I had to add one tablespoon of cooking cream. Mostly the dough should not be hard on you. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Melt the caramel candies with the cream in the microwave or on a steamer and mix until you get a smooth liquid mixture. For this part you can also use dulche de leche, there are a lot of recipes.
- Make balls the size of a slightly larger walnut and make a hole in the middle. Place the oven at 165C with a fan or 180 normally for about 15 minutes, depending on your oven. Biscuits must be white and hard. In the middle of baking, feel free to fix the dents.
- When cool, fill them with caramel and refrigerate to squeeze. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate and oil and pour over the biscuits. Here are the finished twix biscuits. I got about 40 biscuits and I had a little caramel left.
- The recipe from here, I changed it a bit and adapted it to myself.
- Here it is in the shape of a pie, it has more caramel than in biscuits, so whoever likes, let them choose. The caramel was still warm to me when I put the chocolate on so it all came together
