Tuxedo Brownies
This is my favorite recipe for American “brownies” (double chocolate brownies) and I make it often because it is very quick to make and is not a dry cake and everyone loves it in my family. And when I have extra "Philadelphia" or "ABC" cheese, then I make these so-called "Tuxedo Brownies" because my mom loves them.
Preparation steps
- Preheat the oven to 180 C and grease a square deep baking tray (22cm x 22cm).
- Brownies:
- In a bowl, mix eggs with sugar and vanilla extract and add melted butter.
- In a separate bowl, mix sifted flour, coco powder, baking powder and salt and gradually mix it with the egg mass.
- Then add chopped chocolate and walnuts to it all.
- Shake the mixture and flatten it on the baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes. up to 20 min (until the surface of the brownies becomes shiny and the middle is half done).
- Cream-Cheese Mixture:
- While the brownie is baking, meanwhile mix the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract on medium speed (try not to mix too much as the cheese mass can crack when baked if it is mixed for too long).
- Add sour cream / cream to the cream cheese and then mix in the egg.
- Shake the mass over the half-baked brownie and bake everything together for another 30 minutes. (check with a toothpick in the middle of the cake before removing it).
- Leave the stake for 30 minutes. to cool and decorate it with melted milk chocolate (as you can see in the picture I no longer had chocolate so mine is not decorated and otherwise I just sprinkle it with strands of melted chocolate).
- Cut the cake into small cubes and serve when the chocolate has cooled on it.
