Tuti-fruti cake
I tried to do the same, it's nice, light and refreshing. I didn't check if this recipe exists here either.
Preparation steps
- Beat the egg whites until stiff. Then add the other biscuit ingredients.
- Pour half of this mixture into the desired mold, I used a round one, and bake for about 10 minutes at 180 st.C. Same with the other half of the dough. Cool down.
- For the cream, mix the egg yolk and sugar, mix about 1.5 dl of the milk with the egg yolks and add the flour, let the rest of the milk boil, and lightly mix the prepared mixture.
- Mix carefully and boil the cream lightly, being careful not to burn it, but if it gets a little stuck on the bottom, that's ok, just then don't scrape. Cool this cream and add candied fruit or chopped jelly candies, chopped walnuts and other cream ingredients. I foamed the butter before.
- Coat the crust, fold the next one and coat the whole cake with the rest of the cream. Let the ratio be 2/3 between the crusts, and 1/3 for the coating.
- I decorated it with candies and chopped almonds.
