Turkish tea cake

Fine and tasty cake made of soft dough, with fragrant fruit and a mild aroma of cinnamon and cardamom. Covered with chocolate and sprinkled with pistachios and pine nuts.

Preparation steps

  • Soak raisins in wine. Chop the remaining fruit.
  • Beat butter with sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the beaten eggs one by one.
  • Mix the flour with the density and baking powder, then sift into a mass of butter and eggs. Mix everything.
  • Finally, mix walnuts, fruits and raisins with all the wine, as well as spices.
  • Lubricate the size vel. 35 × 11cm. Transfer the dough and put it to bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 1 hour.
  • Cool the finished cake and pour over the melted icing. Before it hardens, sprinkle with pistachios and pine nuts.
