Preparation steps
- If you want a very icy smoothie, then the day before slice the pineapple, mango and papaya and freeze. You can immediately slice a larger amount, divide into smaller bags and freeze, then take as needed.
- Put sliced, frozen fruit, sliced banana and orange juice in a blender and mix at maximum speed. Divide the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately while iced. Note: Store the prepared smoothie in the refrigerator for a maximum of 12 hours.
- For an exotic taste, replace half the amount of orange juice with coconut milk, and if desired, add 5-10 g of peeled ginger. If you want to make ice cream, then put about 50 ml of orange juice, just to get a thick porridge. The fruit should not be pre-frozen, but freshly mixed and made into ice cream.
- Note: At Lidl there is a ready-made, frozen fruit mix for smoothies (pineapple, mango and papaya) to which I add a banana that enhances the flavor and gives sugar, so other sweeteners are not needed.
