Trganci with sour cream and bacon
Traditional dish of Međimurje cuisine in one of my variants And yes, it took me longer to write a recipe than to cook and eat, so it's really done quickly;)
Preparation steps
- Knead the flour with lukewarm water with the addition of a little salt.
- Knead to get a smooth, not too hard dough that you shape into a ball and let it stand for a while, during which time place a larger bowl of salted water to warm it up.
- Roll out the dough a finger thick, cut into strips, tear with your fingers and release into boiling water.
- Let the trganci be cooked in boiled water for about 10-15 minutes, and during that time "gamble" the bacon, don't eat much along the way because there will be less trganci :)
- Put a spoonful of bacon (chopped lard, notch) in the pan, and if you don't have it, you can put a spoonful of oil, when the bacon is lightly fried so that those little greaves become reddish, add sliced bacon to it, fry everything a little more
- Now your trganci are already cooked, so strain them nicely through a perforated bowl, shake off the excess water and put them in a pan on toasted bacon and bacon, put a couple of tablespoons of sour cream on top of all this and mix everything well.
- In the end, you can and don't have to season with freshly ground pepper like me, and you can sprinkle with chopped parsley, and you don't have to.
Serving
Serve best when you are very hungry with a fine green salad with homemade pumpkin oil.
