Tiropita without dough- τυρόπιτα χωρίς φύλλο
or translated from the Greek “cheese pie without dough”. A fantastic pie that you can make without the filling or with the filling of your choice. You can serve it hot or cold. It can be a stand-alone dish or as a side dish, it can be an appetizer or a light dinner. Whatever you want, just serve it and try it!
Preparation steps
- Blanch the spinach first. So, clean it, wash it and put it in boiling salted water for a minute. Strain and leave in a strainer to drain well while you prepare the filling. Mix the room temperature butter with the yoghurt, then add the egg one by one, stirring constantly. Now add the shredded feta cheese and grated hard cheese. Mix a little more to combine the ingredients. Add a little salt, but be careful, because feta cheese is salty. Now add the flour mixed with baking soda.
- Mold for pies or cakes or a round pan, grease well and flour. Pour half of the filling into the mold. Arrange the well-drained blanched spinach over the filling. Spread the rest of the stuffing over the spinach. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and put the pie in the oven for about half an hour until it takes on a slightly yellowish color.
Serving
You can serve it hot or cold. As a main course or as a side dish. Good luck!
