Tiramisù - cheer me up!

Translated from Italian to English, "tiramisu" means "pick me up", "cheer me up" or "lift me up". And that’s exactly what this simple recipe and great dessert will do!

Preparation steps

  • Mix powdered sugar with egg yolks and cook for about 15 minutes on steam. Remove from heat and wait until lukewarm. Mix the mascarpone into the mixture.
  • Beat the sweet cream with a mixer (add a pinch of salt to make it harder). Whisk the sweet whipped cream into the cooled mixture of egg yolks, sugar and mascarpone with a spatula.
  • Dip each biscuit for a few seconds on one side in cold milk and on the other in chilled nescafe. (If you don’t like the strong taste of coffee in cakes, make a weak nes and add a teaspoon of sugar to it). Stack the soaked biscuits side by side in two rows. (Sprinkle the biscuits with liqueur if desired.) Put half of the cream on the biscuits and place the second row of soaked biscuits on top of the cream. Coat the biscuits and the cake on the side with the rest of the cream.
  • Grate cooking chocolate or preferably dark chocolate with a higher cocoa content on the cake.

Serving

Serve on a tray, cold, it is best to stand in the refrigerator overnight so that the ingredients are absorbed.
