Tingul-Chicken with peas
An excellent and tasty combination of chicken and peas
Preparation steps
- Fry the chopped pieces of chicken in a little oil on all sides and remove. In the same pot, add a little more oil and start simmering on the finely chopped onion and grated carrot. Grind half a peeled tomato in a blender and add it. Simmer until it starts to stick to the bottom (be careful not to overdo it as this is not the goal of this process: D).
- Now return the half-processed chicken to the pot in which it is simmering. Season everything with salt and pepper, add vegeta, 2 cloves, a pinch of nutmeg and stir. Simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the peas to the chicken, pour enough water to cover the dish and cook for another half hour until the peas are done.
- Add salt to boiling water and cook the gnocchi according to the instructions on the package. Strain.
- When the dish is ready, it can be thickened if desired with a mixture of a spoonful of flour and a little water. Serve with gnocchi even though it is delicious with homemade tagliatelle. * can be sprinkled with parmesan
