THE Apple pie
The name says it all! :-) This is a remake of bedekowomen’s recipe for American Pie - one wonderful pie we used to sweeten our mustaches at last year’s Halloween party. She let me post the recipe because she just knocked me off my feet! My first best apple pie is according to my grandmother's old recipe (my debut), and this one competes dangerously with it !! In fact, they are both my favorite, each in their own way - and I've tried a lot of them. Prrrrrrobajte pa sudite ;-)
Preparation steps
- Knead a pliable dough from the listed ingredients, wrap in foil and place in the fridge while you prepare the filling.
- Peel the apples and grate them into thin slices, mix all the dry and all the wet ingredients separately, and mix them lightly with the apples by hand.
- Roll out the dough on a buttered baking sheet (optional, I used the one measuring 32 × 34cm - you can use a smaller one - I wanted a thinner pink pie), spread the filling, lightly push and flatten it with your hands, and put it in the fridge.
- To sprinkle, mix all the dry ingredients, crumble the softened butter and amaretto with them, then crumble over the stuffing. I additionally sprinkled sugar on top because someone was looking for a slightly sweeter pie :-)
- Place in the refrigerator for about half an hour, then put the oven directly in a preheated oven (220 * C) for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 * C and bake until done… leave to rest overnight and cut into cubes.
