Texas apple pie by Rudolph!
When I saw how it looks and how it is made, I decided that I should try it, I will write the original recipe and I only reduced the amount of dough because it has enough left so that I don't throw it away, although it says that it can be mixed and used for savory pies!
Preparation steps
- Quickly knead the dough from flour, butter, sugar, pinches of salt and water mixed with vinegar and wrap and let stand for about an hour in the cold!
- While the dough is cooling, make crumbs to sprinkle, put everything in one bowl, chop the walnuts coarsely and mix with butter and make crumbs (rub between your hands until it turns into crumbs) and set aside.
- Peel the apples and cut them into cubes and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon and mix well.
- Put the butter in a larger bowl and melt it, and when it has melted, add the apples with sugar and cinnamon and simmer for about 5 minutes, during which time take out the dough and roll it out to the size of a round deeper mold and prick it a little.
- When the apples are done, take them out with a slotted spoon to leave as much sauce as possible, and put the apples on the side to cool a bit. Put whiskey in the sauce and stir and then add creme fraiche (or sweet cream) and let the sauce thicken a bit. thickened sauce add it to the apples all mix well and put on the dough in a mold and sprinkle up with crumbs. Put the oven at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes.
