Tenfanje according to my mom's recipe :)
Tenfanje is a traditional Međimurje dish. This dish is especially adored by my dad, and everyone else loves it. It can be eaten only as a soup, and can also be passed as a main course. Ideal for warming up on cold winter days. According to my mom's recipe. :)
Preparation steps
- Cut the meat into smaller pieces (you can also leave whole pieces) and season as desired. Chop the onion and fry it briefly in a little oil. Add the meat and leave it until it gets colored. Then add water and continue to simmer for about half an hour, until soft. Stir here and there.
- When the meat is almost done, whisk one cooking cream and one sour cream with two tablespoons of flour. Stir until there are lumps. Then pour 1.2 l of water over the meat, stir and slowly add the mixture of cooking cream and flour, stirring.
- You can add spices as desired, I used and sweet red pepper. Wait for everything to boil together and leave on low heat for two to three minutes. You can also use low-fat cream, only cooking cream, more cream, combine to your liking! :)
