Tatlija
Tatlija is a dessert made of fresh cheese, a recipe from our grandmothers and mothers
Preparation steps
- The cheese is grated with a grater on the large side of the grater or rubbed with a fork.
- The other ingredients mentioned above are added to the grated cheese.
- Then mix well to combine the ingredients to obtain a compact mixture.
- The mixture is placed in a greased pan in my case no. 40 cm and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until golden brown or about 30 minutes, try with a toothpick
- While the Tatlija is baking, prepare the sherbet.
- Preparing the sherbet In a suitable bowl, put the sugar and water to boil. When the white meurcinja will appear, the sherbet is ready.
- Already ready and well-baked red Tatlija is still warm, NOT CUT, we pour half of the warm sherbet over it and we return the tatlija to the mouth. now we cut it, into rhombuses or as desired, and pour it over the remaining, sherbet, we put it back in the hot oven until the whole sherbet is soaked, as well as to cool it, and then we put it in the fridge to be cold to serve.
