TARTIFLETTE (French mashed potatoes and sausages)

A delicious dish, similar to our moussaka and French fries, but still quite different. Great for a change from everyday!

Preparation steps

  • Fry the onion in a deeper pan, then add the sausages to fry them as well (you can also use bacon instead of sausages). Add sliced ​​potatoes, salt and pepper and wine. Leave to cook for 3 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate, then add sweet sour cream (cream) and cover. Leave to cook covered for about 20 minutes. In an oiled oven dish, arrange a row of the mixture (half) with the potatoes and sausages and cover everything with half the cheese. Put another row of potatoes and sausages (the other half) and cover with the rest of the cheese. From above put a few sprigs of primrose leaf or thyme. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese crust is caught.

Serving

Serve warm, goes well with beer or wine.
