Taratushki with kefir / taratushki with kefir
Quick Russian donuts / donuts with kefir / sour cream /. They are served with tea, coated with jam, you will have the feeling that you are eating donuts and ready in an instant. Although fried in oil they are not greasy at all.
Preparation steps
- You can find similar pastries only baked in the oven HERE Preparation: Put egg, butter, kefir, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Mix and then gradually add flour and finally baking soda. Knead the dough that does not stick, add a little more if necessary flour because it depends on the amount of water in kefir / of course I do not have such quality kefir as in Russia. Leave the kneaded dough covered for 20 minutes. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll each piece into a circle about 30cm wide. Cut into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle in the middle, turning it inside out twice.
- Heat the oil in a pot. Bake on medium heat in two triangles / do not bury the pot as it will not inflate nicely. Remove the baked triangles on baking paper to drain.
- Coat them richly with demos or some other coating to taste. Enjoy your tea!
