Sweet Popara (Bread Pudding)
In this "so-called" simple cake you can put whatever you want, it is made quickly and it is very tasty. I found a lot of recipes on the internet and combined something from everyone and here's how I made it!
Preparation steps
- Cut the bread into cubes or just tear it into small pieces, place in a pan pre-greased with butter or sprinkled with baking oil. Cut the apple into cubes, almonds and walnuts. (You can also put hazelnuts, whatever you want, I put them in a bag of everything. Sprinkle on bread as well as dried grapes, dried cherries and petit biscuits. (You can also put any dried or fresh fruit you want, or without biscuits)
- Beat eggs and sugar well in a bowl, add vanilla sugar and cinnamon and only then melted butter.
- I read somewhere that the pan should be put in another pan filled with water and baked better that way.
- Pour all the filling into the pan over the bread, press a little on top to soak the bread well. If your bread is very dry, then leave it for a minute longer to soften a bit and then just put it in the oven.
- Bake for an hour at 150 degrees or 300F and when you take the bread out of the oven it should be dry on top. Allow a few minutes to cool and then ENJOY!
