Sweet bulgur with raisins
Recipe for the theme of the week. In some parts of Macedonia, when weddings were held on the day when the bride and groom were watched, the guests were served with boiled bulgur and from above everyone put sugar as desired. This is a slightly modified version of that bulgur.
Preparation steps
- Put the bulgur in a bowl and bend the hot water to get wet. Let it stand for half an hour or more.
- After half an hour, throw away the water and put another one, then put it on the stove to boil. When the water boils, add milk and continue cooking.
- Add sugar and vanilla and cook until the bulgur is cooked and the liquid has evaporated. You can leave some liquid because while the bulgur has cooled, it will absorb excess liquid and will not be dry.
- Finally, mix the raisins that you previously dipped in hot water.
Serving
Serve in sutlijas bowls and put cinnamon and raisins on top.
