Swedish rye biscuits
I don't know which words would be convincing enough to convey the uniqueness of these biscuits! I wanted to try rye flour in biscuits and so I came across recipes for these highly praised ones reminiscent of danish butter cookies, and at the same time so full of special flavors and only with healthy flour it still remains to enchant you too! You will not be able to stop eating them, and the damage will not be so much;)! For the 'Lady of Brown Flour', Notsoevil, who inspired me to make a big purchase of healthy food
Preparation steps
- Mix all the dry ingredients well, then add the margarine cut into strips and a teaspoon of honey, and knead it with your fingers and chop until it disappears and until a compact mixture begins to form. Then add another 4 tablespoons of water and knead a fine dough. Leave for about 20 minutes in the fridge, then roll out the dough into a very thin (approx. 3 mm) and cut out the shapes as desired. Bake them for about 7 minutes at 180 degrees in a baking paper lined baking sheet! When they are done, take them out of the tin and let them cool! And then enjoy! * As for margarine / butter, it is always finer to use butter.
- NOTE: In the original recipes for these already traditional Swedish biscuits, there is no cinnamon and honey, and vanilla sugar, these are my additions. Also, instead of wholemeal flour, you can use plain white flour with rye. You will get such aromatic, crispy and crunchy, juicy bags ... I don't know how to describe them without it being worthy of their taste. They are really special and are currently competing for the first place of my favorite cookies! And so much healthier than most biscuits… By the way, they are traditionally prepared for the Christmas and New Year holidays in Sweden, where in preparation a hole is cut in the middle of the biscuits and then they are hung with a ribbon on the Christmas tree and guests take them off and papaya…
