Swabian strudel
I don’t know why it’s called that, otherwise it’s a strudel with cherries and semolina and that’s how my mom always makes it! She's really great! :)
Preparation steps
- Whisk the eggs with the sugar, add the semolina, yoghurt, baking powder and add a little oil to combine everything. I used a glass of yogurt as a measure for sugar, semolina and oil.
- Sprinkle the first crust with a little stuffing (it is enough just to stick one crust to the rainbow) and put the second crust on it. Then put the stuffing on the second crust and sprinkle with cherries (amount as desired).
- Arrange the strudels in a large deeper pan and pour over the rest of the filling! Bake for 30 min. at temp. from 180 C.
Serving
You can serve it hot or cold, I prefer cold, but it’s definitely great and made quickly!
