Sviripile

This sauce was often prepared by my mother at my request. It is an old Macedonian sauce that goes well with roasted or fried meat. But, I ate it purely only with bread and I will eat it fairly.

Preparation steps

  • Fry the oil and bukovac a little (make sure that the pepper does not burn). Add water and a little salt and bring to a boil. Then add the vinegar and leave for another half a minute on the hob. That's it :)
  • This is the basic recipe, but if you wish, you can add ground mint leaves or oregano (I warmly recommend mints if you have decided to add something else), bay leaf ...
  • Note: Measures are arbitrary and may vary. If you want a thinner sauce then add more water. Bon appetit!
