Preparation steps

  • Mix flour, yeast and salt. Add egg, oil and mix everything with light addition of yogurt. You get a fine soft dough that should stand for about an hour.
  • Since I liked the look of the rolls whose picture inspired me to do the same, I rolled out and cut the dough as for Pavloska rolls. Roll out and cut like this. I tore the dough to the size of a little more than two walnuts, because 1 ball was too thin for me and it was crispy and not soft.
  • I did not fill it with fresh cheese, but at the beginning of each rolled ball I put a piece of edam cheese and rolled it from the cheese towards the cut part. Coat with beaten egg. Leave the rolls for about 30 minutes. to rise a little, and in the meantime preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  • Bake the rolls, which will double in the oven, and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  • The ratio of ingredients is excellent, the dough is extremely soft, not a single piece remains unbaked despite the cheese inside, so you must SURELY succeed ... You get approximately 13 - 14 medium-sized rolls.
