Sugar plane

How to make a plane out of sugar? I looked at the picture and so the rules. Here's how:

Preparation steps

  • Instead of gum paste, you can also use a paste of mash, but you won't get an ideal smooth surface or make a firmer fondant to cover the cake with the addition of a little more density (majdina). In general, the mass must not be soft!
  • Crumple a piece of aluminum foil and shape into a thin muffin. It will be the inside of the plane so that it is not too heavy, because it must stand on its feet.
  • Coat the fuselage (made of aluminum foil) with the prepared sugar mass and smooth it nicely with the handles. LOOK AT THE PICTURE and shape. The part above the cockpit is left flat. The length of the plane is about 20 cm. Allow to dry slightly but be careful not to deform the shape.
  • Moisten 5 wooden sticks with water and very thinly coat with rubber paste or other.
  • When it dries a bit, drive the wheelbarrows into the fuselage diagonally as in the picture for the plane. The front will be shorter. So do the wing holders. Leave it to dry well, plant something under it to be a support during drying so that the plane does not crash :)
  • Make wings from the sugar paste (it is solid and suitable for constructions): Cut a strip on a smooth surface (mine was 21 cm long and 4 cm wide. 2-3 mm thick. Make 2 pcs. In case one breaks :( Leave to dry well, best by tomorrow… Cut out the part for the tail. When it dries a bit, cut it into the plane and glue it with a little soaked sugar nasum.
  • From the mass of Pastiaz cut small wheels and charge on sticks.
  • Constantly look at the picture and make other details. Recipe for pastillage-pastias
