Styrian sour soup

Another Slovenian recipe that is also regularly on our menu ...

Preparation steps

  • Finely chop the onion and garlic and put in a pot. We cut another carrot. We save the potatoes for later. Then cut the meat into smaller cubes.
  • Fry the onion in the fat, add the meat and fry for a few minutes. Add salt, spices and water.
  • After a few minutes, add more carrots and potatoes to the soup and continue to cook covered for 15-20 minutes.
  • Traditionally, the soup is thickened with a sauce. In a separate bowl, melt the butter and fry the flour on it. Then pour into the broth and cook for 5 minutes.

Serving

Before serving, pickle the soup with apple cider vinegar and add sour cream.
