Stuffed chicken from grandma's box
There are many recipes and various variants for stuffing chicken. I have tried many ways, but I always prefer to go back to the oldest one, according to which my mother, according to her mother's recipe, prepared chicken for Christmas, so in our family it has become a traditional holiday dish.
Preparation steps
- We clean the chicken from the bones and salt it. (Note: bones can be saved and used for chicken stock) If you need an explanation of how to remove bones from chickens, I can write later.
- For the filling, finely chop the onion, cut the bacon into cubes and sauté together. If necessary, add a little oil. Chop the bread (I peel the crust) into cubes, add eggs, milk, stewed bacon and onion, parsley and spices and mix everything together to absorb well.
- Fill the chicken with the stuffing and sew with thread or connect with toothpicks and put the oven together with the chopped potatoes. Cut the roasted chicken into pieces and serve. Serve with baked potatoes and salad as desired

This is a cheap and hearty dish, and it is very tasty. It can be combined with various side dishes and salads.
