Strudels with apricot jam and walnuts

Mini strudels, crispy, with apricot jam and walnuts.

Preparation steps

  • Dough: Keep the margarine at room temperature, so that it can be whipped more easily, add 100 g of sugar, vanilla sugar and 2 egg yolks and yoghurt. Stir with a spatula and gradually add flour with baking powder until a compact dough is obtained. Stretch in the shape of a rectangle 35 × 20cm and cut three strips. In the middle of the strips, put a filling of 3 tablespoons of jam and 50 g of chopped walnuts, as well as on the remaining two strips. Bend the strips from the sides towards the middle, turn the bent part downwards and cut strudels about 3-5 cm long. Mine were 5 cm.
  • Bake them at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes. They should not turn brown, they should stay bright.

Serving

Sprinkle the roast with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
