Strudel with cherries and semolina

no weighing, everything is on cups (one cup 2 dcl) ...

Preparation steps

  • Mix eggs and sugar well with a mixer.
  • Add semolina, oil and yogurt and mix everything lightly with a whisk.
  • Then add vanilla sugar and baking powder.
  • Leave the mixture to stand for half an hour in a warm place.
  • Spread the mixture on the first crust, cover it with the second, and spread it, then cover it with the third, which we also spread with the mixture, and spread the filling over the third crust (cherries with the most delicious, walnuts, poppy seeds or any other filling).
  • Fold the crust so that the strudel is as wide as a palm, it does not have to be round.
  • The filling is liquid so care should be taken not to grease it too much and when it is transferred to the pan, be careful not to leak.
  • Bake in a preheated oven pan until the crust is nicely browned.
  • Towards the end of baking, crust a little with plain water, just enough to "wash". They must not swim in the water.
  • Return to the oven for a few more minutes.
  • Cool well.
