Struda with carob
Quick carob strudels my way. Great
Preparation steps
- Add flour, salt, sugar, leftover yeast, lukewarm water, lemon juice, eggs and oil to the mixing bowl. Knead a smooth dough. Divide the dough immediately into 4 noodles. Roll each noodle into rectangles, coat them with filling and roll. Arrange the strudels in a greased baking tray or covered with baking paper, coat with beaten egg and bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees. Sprinkle the baked strudels with powdered sugar
- for the filling, mix half the sugar with the milk and boil. Mix the other half of the sugar with the carob and ground walnuts. Add boiled sweet milk to the carob. Mix everything well. Coat the strudel with the filling. If you wish, you can add a small cube of butter to the filling (in this case, reduce the milk, if you add a little butter)
