Strawberry & Elderberry Marmalade, without any additives
How many times do you eat something with a spoon without thinking about all the sugar that it contains and calories? This jam is something I'm sorry to mix with anything. So delicious, so light and so natural ..
Preparation steps
- Wash and chop the strawberries. Wash the elderberry, dry it and chop only the flowers with scissors, without stems.
- Add sugar and lemon and cook until desired density. I cooked mine for about 1.5 hours on low heat.
- Wash the jar and dry it in a slightly preheated oven and turn it upside down. Fill it with jam, close and turn over. Cover with a cloth and cool.
Serving
Since I wasn’t adding any jam fix, I cooked it a little more. When cooled, I got a fine texture that spreads lightly, with no gelatinous effect. This jam is ideal for children because it does not contain a lot of sugar.
