Strawberry and Rhubarb Pie Cindy Crawford (Oprah Show)

This is a pie from the Oprah Show. Cindy Crawford does it almost every day, so I had to try it too. I didn’t have rhubarb so I made it with peaches. If someone makes the original, write a comment to hear how it turned out.

Preparation steps

  • For the crust, preheat the oven to 200 C.
  • Mix flour and salt. Pour the first oil into the glass, then the milk. Do not mix. Add to flour. Knead the dough and divide it into one larger and one smaller part. Stretch out most of it and put it in the pan so that the sides protrude a little.
  • For the filling, mix sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add fruit and stir. You can also use eg blueberry or peach, then add lemon juice.
  • Fill the crust with the stuffing. After that put the surfaced butter. Put the top crust and join the ends. Pierce in several places with a fork. Coat with milk. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes. # Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Serving

The glass is 230 ml. I worked with peaches, I put 4 big peaches. And since I couldn't knead the dough, I put more oil and milk than it says. Maybe someone will succeed with the original measures from the recipe. I don't know why it was dry for me. Mostly in the end it turned out phenomenal, but I’m still interested in what the original tastes like with strawberries and rhubarb.
