Ston macaroni cake

a real master's cake, with macaroons (in the lead role), so I guess people are skeptical about them (like my husband) and won't try it, but because of those macaroons (macaroni, macaroni) the cake has a specific texture, and macaroni is almost and do not feel in the stuffing;)) for all of you who asked me to set the recipe, try it, you will be surprised by this super cake;)

Preparation steps

  • prepare the dough from flour, eggs, oil, knead the dough and leave in a cool place to rest for half an hour. for the filling, cook the macaroni, “al dente,” and cool. prepare the filling by mixing whole eggs, whipped cream, coarsely grated chocolate, almonds, walnuts, carob, cinnamon, liqueur, zest and lemon and orange juice, peel and grate the apple.
  • after half an hour, roll out the dough thinly, and put it in the cake mold. the edges of the dough to hang from the side of the mold, you will cover the dough with them, over the filling.
  • in the dough-lined mold, first put half of the butter, cut into slices, then the macaroni, stuffing, again a few sheets of butter, macaroni, then the stuffing. finish with butter, cover the cake with the edges of the dough, and lightly press. dough with a little melted butter, bake at 180 degrees, 45 minutes, cool the cake and turn it so that the bottom is up, sprinkle with powdered sugar and transfer to a wire rack to cool well,
  • it is best to cut the second day, when it “stands” in a cool place overnight.

Serving

the cake inside looks very interesting, spongy ... traditionally with macaroni cake men drink homemade grapefruit or herb, and women drink homemade rose liqueur or prosecco.
