I don’t know why, but kids are crazy about that figure, especially when they get it as a birthday cake
Preparation steps
- FOR THE DOUGH: Drain the cherries well in a strainer. Whisk the butter with the sugar and vanilla and gradually add the eggs, mixing each egg for 1/2 minute. Add flour and baking powder and mix everything well. Place 2/3 of the dough in a 30 × 40 cm baking tray. Put cocoa and milk in the rest of the dough, stir and spread over the light mass. Finally, put the drained cherries over the dark dough and press the cherries a little towards the light dough so that a nice pattern appears after baking. Bake for about 35 minutes. at 180 ° C.
- Meanwhile, cook the vanilla pudding and leave to cool. Take the butter out of the fridge and let it reach room temperature. Whisk the butter with the powdered sugar and add the cooled pudding (room temperature). Separate 1/3 of the butter cream and put chocolate powder or cocoa in it. Coat the cooled cake with butter cream (upper part) and coat the body of Spogebob with a dark mass.
- It is best to have a picture next to you, so that Spongebob gets its contours. With the fondant, shape the eyes, arms, legs, tie, and with the melted chocolate, cross over the rands from the eyes, nose and eyelashes.
