Sparkling wine from elderflower flowers
Are you in favor of a wonderfully refreshing sparkling wine? If so, please!
Preparation steps
- It is necessary to put 5 large, clean blossomed elderflowers in 5 liters of cold water, and add 10 dag of fried sugar, another 50 dag of ordinary sugar and 1 dl of wine or apple vinegar. I added 1 more lemon sliced and squeezed.
- Mix everything together in a glass, enamel or plastic container (not a metal one), and leave it to stand in the not too strong sun for 4-5 days, with occasional stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Then strain the wine, and fill smaller bottles of 5 dl, because it would be best to drink it when it is filled (I kept the opened bottle in the refrigerator for 2-3 days and the wine did not spoil).
- MY NOTE: Keep tightly closed bottles upright in a cool and dark room (basement). Occasionally open the bottles briefly to reduce the pressure. The wine is ready for consumption after 6 weeks.
- Cheers!
Serving
I know there are a lot of recipes for this wine, but I decided on the recipe from http://www.ladica.net/sokovi-i-napici.aspx, and listed some of my "experiential" instructions.
