Preparation steps
- prepare wheat flour sift, add corn flour, then baking powder, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, hot ground pepper-to taste and mix everything well. in a little olive oil fry the red onion, finely chopped and when slightly yellowed, remove from the heat and cool, put in a blender, grind and add to the above mixture -dry.
- Whisk the yoghurt and eggs, add the cheese, pour over the already prepared mixture and mix everything well, so that there are no lumps. The dough must be compact, thicker than when working for pancakes.
- cover with a warm kitchen cloth and leave 10.-ak. minutes until the oil heats up. take out the lightly "aged" dough with a spoon and lower it into the heated fat, arrange each fried donut on a paper kitchen towel to drain off the excess fat - if any.
- serve warm donuts with homemade bacon, cheese, ajvar, or according to your wishes and taste.
