Soy medallions
As we are not really soybean lovers, I always pack it a little with meat and it goes unnoticed :))) We even love medallions prepared this way and I often make them !!!
Preparation steps
- Put medallions in boiling salt water and cook about 15 min. Take it out in a strainer and when it cools down a bit, squeeze each medallion with your palms to let out the excess liquid. (don't squeeze hard so you don't crush them, you'll feel how much is enough.)
- Cut them horizontally but not completely.
- Cut the cheese leaves in half and halve each half again. With that half of the cheese, which now has two pieces the size of a medallion, place it between the sliced medallion, and put a slice of ham. You can attach them with a toothpick and you don't have to.
- roll each filled medallion in flour, eggs and bread crumbs and fry in hot oil on both sides until nicely browned. Take them out on paper towels to remove the excess fat. And that's it :)) Good luck !!! I prepared them as a main dish, but it can also be used as a warm appetizer, and cold ones are nice !!! with attachment
Serving
You can also fill the medallions with something else, like bacon, salami you like, sausage or just cheese. As a side dish, this time I made peas, so I cooked medallions in the water in which the frozen peas were cooked and just took them out with a hollow spoon. I didn't throw away the water, I needed it for further preparation of peas. If I cook a soup that I will squeeze later and I know how to cook medallions in it. Then they will be even better :)))
