Smokvenjak, and that's how its name sounds, is a paradise for gourmets. By combining dried figs, walnuts or almonds, brandy and fennel sprigs, you can create a real little Mediterranean celebration.

Preparation steps

  • Clean the figs and grind them with a meat grinder. Slice walnuts or almonds.
  • Add walnuts or almonds to the figs and gradually add enough brandy so that the pears can be kneaded.
  • Dry each crust in an oven preheated to 80 ° C for about 40 minutes, then let it cool.
  • You can decorate the cooled bread with a twig of fennel and wrap it in parchment paper.

Serving

Cut the fig into slices and serve with grape brandy or some other flavored brandy.

Advice

Instead of brandy, use orange juice diluted with water.
