Smoked ham in winter vegetables :)

It all started one night just before Christmas with the conclusion that my friends and I hadn't seen each other for a long time. And we used to often gather at my place with a good meal, wine and a chat party. And the suggestion to go to the tavern on your knees and a beer falls. As it goes, our budgets are limited, I suggest that I make them a real winter, holiday meal to sum up the year behind us, hang out and eat nicely :) And here's what I prepared for them. In the end, Plaeh was left completely empty with a bone from his thigh and the sighs of the overeating ladies :)

Preparation steps

  • Fill a large pot with water, put a bottle in it and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes. Take a sherpa large enough to fit a kilo of fish, melt a tablespoon of fat in it and add to fry one finely chopped onion. When the onion has turned brown, slowly add the cabbage and a couple of bay leaves and fry as for the stew, stirring constantly, but let it stick to the sherpa for a while to get that recognizable dark color. After 15 minutes of simmering, add a teaspoon of allspice and pepper to taste, mix for another 5 minutes and remove from the stove. Peel the remaining vegetables, potatoes, onions and carrots. Cut the potatoes into rings, the carrot into sticks, and the onion into noodles. Mix everything in a bowl with a spoonful of fat and salt to taste. And now finish, separate the cooked leg from the bones and cut it into smaller pieces. Take a large baking tray, mix fatty vegetables, cabbage and prunes in it and put it to bake in the oven at 250 degrees. After 20 minutes of baking, remove the pan and arrange the meat on the vegetables and return to the oven until the vegetables are soft.

Serving

And that's it, all you have to do is enjoy and indulge in juicy meat and vegetables!
