Slovak sweet braids
We sweetened up with these sweet braids this afternoon. My sister found the recipe on a Slovak website. They are preedive! Soft and very tasty :))
Preparation steps
- Pour the flour into a bowl mixed with salt and powdered sugar. Raise the yeast and hot milk add the flour. Add butter and egg yolks. Knead a soft dough. Leave for half an hour to rise. Divide the dough into 32 pieces. Roll them into 15 cm long rollers from which you make small braids. Braids connect the beginning and end so that they look like small balls. Cover and let rise for about 40 min. After that, coat them with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar, poppy seeds or walnuts. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for about 15 min.
