Slavski kolac
The season of glory has begun. Here is one recipe for a sweet greasy celebration cake, my favorite.
Preparation steps
- Mix the yeast, a spoonful of sugar, a spoonful of flour and a little lukewarm milk and let it rise.
- Meanwhile, sift the flour to room temperature, then add all the other ingredients and the derived yeast. Knead a soft dough and let it rise.
- As the dough rises, make cake decorations. Arbitrarily determine the amount of flour and add just enough water to knead the dough, which should be hard and pliable. Spread it with a rolling pin and make decorations as desired. First take out the "letter" with a wooden mold, and then let the fat run free! :-) I always make birds, spikelets, barrels, flowers, and at the bottom of the mold I always put a cross made of dough before I put only the dough .... Children can participate in making decorations.
- After one and a half hours, knead the dough and put it in a round tray or sickle, in which we put baking paper. Mix the dough well, as this prevents the cakes from cracking during baking. It can also be protruded with a thin knitting needle so that it grows evenly.
- When we put the dough in the baking mold, we coat it with egg yolk and put decorations over it. Preheat the oven to 180-200C, and after about 15 minutes reduce the temperature, although every housewife knows her oven best. ;-) The decorations remain bright during baking. Whether the stake is baked can be checked with a toothpick.
Serving
Cut the slava cake into nice pieces and serve the guests on a nice plate.
